About Mr Rhodri Williams

Mr Rhodri Williams is a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with an NHS practice based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Birmingham Childrens' Hospital. 

He qualified in Dentistry from the University of Birmingham in 1990 and also in Medicine at Bristol University in 1997. Mr Williams undertook specialist training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the South West of England before gaining extra training as a Craniofacial Fellow in Birmingham and as Paediatric Maxillofacial Fellow in Melbourne, Australia.He was appointed as a Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Birmingham in 2005. 

Mr Williams' specialist interests are the treatment of facial disproportion in adults and children. He is on the GMC specialist register for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, is a Fellow of the British association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
He has particular interest in surgical training and was the Training Program Director for OMFS in the West Midlands from 2015-2020 and is currently the National Lead TPD on the Surgical Advisory Committee of the Royal College of Surgeons. He is also an examiner for the FRCS OMFS.

Outside of work he enjoys cycling and running. Mr Williams also plays golf and is a keen follower of all sport.

He works closely with Mr Kevin McMillan both in the NHS and privately (www.thejawsurgeons.com) in this field of oral and maxillofacial surgery
