About Dr Rejith Dayanandan

Personal Profile

Dr Dayanandan graduated from University of Manchester in 2005 and completed his specialist training in neurology in Manchester and Preston. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2009. He was appointed as a Consultant Neurologist at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2014.

He was the Clinical Director for Neurology at the Regional Neurosciences Centre at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust between 2017 and 2020. He is also a visiting neurologist at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. He is very enthusiastic about medical education and his roles have included Undergraduate Lead for Neurology at Lancaster Medical School and Honorary Lecturer at Lancaster University.

Prior to medical school, he completed his PhD and postdoctoral research at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London.

He has a number of publications relating to his clinical and scientific interests.
