Mr Khan is a graduate of King Edward Medical university Lahore, Pakistan. He did his Basic surgical training in Republic of Ireland. He completed his higher Surgical training in Ireland as well as in England . He worked as a Trainee in North West region of England and is on specialist register since 2019.
Mr. Khan has completed MSc in research from Royal college of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He conducted a meta-analysis on management of rectal GIST (a rare rectal tumour).Mr Khan received distinction and Bursary in his Masters .He has published numerous case reports and audits in peer reviewed Journals. Mr Khan has special interest in Early rectal cancer and has done advanced training in TEMS (transanal endoscopic microsurgery).
Mr Khan has interest in research and education of higher surgical training.
Mr Khan has practiced as consultant colorectal surgeon in Royal Preston hospital prior to joining Mid Cheshire Hospital Trust. Mr Khan started in Leighton hospital as a substantive colorectal surgeon in September 2023.
Mr. Khan performs all benign proctology along with laparoscopic colorectal cancer resection. Mr. Khan has special interest in advanced rectal cancer, colonoscopy and EMR . Mr. Khan is a trained endoscopist and JAG accredited for both upper and lower GI endoscopies. He also performs benign laparoscopic surgeries like various hernia repairs and Gall bladder surgery.
