After completing his orthopaedic training in Newcastle, he received awards from The British Foot and Ankle Society and British Orthopaedic Association. These allowed him to travel to Glasgow and Sydney to further develop his specialist foot and ankle skills in world-renowned centres of excellence.
He has brought these skills back to the North East where he now practices at James Cook Hospital, The Friarage Hospital and Woodlands Hospital.
He is a surgical trainer within the NHS, helping to prepare the next generation of surgeons for independent practice. He also teaches on several courses, including the local orthopaedic masters program.
