Dr Rakesh Patel was appointed as a consultant Interventional Radiologist at Northwick Park Hospital and Hillingdon Hospital in 2013.   He graduated from London in 2003, became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007 and a fellow of the Royal College of Radiology in 2010. He gained his IR and general radiology training in Birmingham before undertaking a year of fellowship training at the Royal United Hospital Bath & North Bristol NHS Trust. As a visiting fellow, he gained further experience in complex vascular disease in Nuremberg. 

Dr Rakesh Patel is also currently a honorary clinical reader at Brunel University and a member of the MBA programme board at Brunel Business School. He is a passionate teacher as well as an accomplished author in the field of Radiology.

Dr Rakesh Patel is currently the lead interventional Radiologist & Chief Clinical Information Officer at Hillingdon Hospital. He has extensive experience in vascular and non-vascular Interventional Radiology. 

His areas of interest include diagnostic vascular imaging, contrast enhanced ultrasound, varicocele embolisation, pelvic vein disorder and uterine fibroid embolisation.
