About Miss Rajni Jain

Personal Profile

Miss Rajni Jain is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and highly experienced Oculoplastic Surgeon based in London. She currently holds consultant posts at the Western Eye Hospital (Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust) and at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon NHS Trusts. Her clinical practice combines functional and aesthetic oculoplastic surgery with a strong commitment to patient-centred care and surgical excellence.

Miss Jain graduated from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in 1995, followed by further training at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. She completed her specialist ophthalmology training at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, one of the world’s leading eye centres. Her advanced subspecialty training includes several prestigious oculoplastic fellowships at Moorfields and in the Cranio-Facio-Palpebral Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She also undertook further paediatric ophthalmology training at Moorfields, giving her comprehensive expertise in managing children’s eye and eyelid disorders.

Her specialist interests include eyelid reconstruction following tumour excision or burns, management of eyelid and tear duct abnormalities in children, and aesthetic oculoplastics. She offers cosmetic procedures such as blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), endoscopic brow-lift techniques, anti-wrinkle injections and facial aesthetics including dermal fillers—all tailored to complement natural facial features.

Miss Jain provides expert care in the treatment of watering eyes and blocked tear ducts, offering both external and endoscopic (scar-less) approaches to tear duct surgery. She leads specialist oculoplastic and lacrimal clinics and regularly works in collaboration with plastic surgeons, ENT specialists, and dermatologists to achieve optimal results for patients with complex or multi-faceted conditions around the eyes.

As a passionate educator, Miss Jain is the Ophthalmology Training Director at Imperial College and is actively involved in developing the next generation of ophthalmic surgeons. She is part of the faculty for surgical education at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and was awarded the Imperial Education Award in 2016 in recognition of her contribution to training.

Miss Jain is also a committed researcher and currently serves as principal investigator in a multi-centre randomised trial studying treatments for thyroid eye disease. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and co-edits the Community Ophthalmology section on the Royal College’s “Inspire” platform.

She is a full member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS) and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical care.

With over two decades of experience and a holistic, patient-led approach, Miss Jain is dedicated to helping patients achieve both functional and aesthetic improvements in eye and eyelid health. She is available for both general ophthalmic and oculoplastic referrals and can be contacted for emergency consultations as required.
