Mr Deshmukh is an expert Cataract Surgeon and has supervised and trained many ophthalmologists in cataract surgery since 2013. He offers a full range of refractive surgery options with experience in various intraocular lenses including Multifocal (for distance, intermediate and reading vision without glasses), EDOF (extended depth of focus for spectacle independence), Toric (to correct astigmatism) and EVO ICL (Implantable ‘Contact’ Lens).

He trained 40 general ophthalmologists and 45 allied health care professionals in screening, grading and treatment of diabetic retinopathy and setting up of referral pathway for the National Health Programme in Sultanate of Oman.
