Mr Gowda is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Woodlands Hospital in Darlington. He sees NHS, self-pay and insured patients.

He trained in Urology in the West Yorkshire Deanery. This was mainly at St James University Hospital in Leeds and Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield. He teaches all grades of trainees at various regional and national courses. This includes simulation training.

Mr Gowda has led the urology department at South Tees Hospitals Foundation Trust as Clinical Director. He has delivered significant changes with lasting impact. He has also contributed to various national audit and research projects.

Mr Gowda has also served on the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) at Woodlands Hospital.
