About Dr Rachel Healy

Personal Profile

Dr Rachel Healy is a Consultant Dermatologist with a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. She has been the Lead Clinician for skin cancer at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust for over 10 years and underwent specialist training in dermatological surgery including mohs surgery, laser skin treatments and cosmetic dermatology at St John’s Institute of Dermatology.

She underwent her medical training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals and her dermatology training at The Royal London Hospital ,The Royal Free Hospital and St John’s Institute of Dermatology. Dr Healy started her medical career as a dentist going on to work as a maxillofacial surgeon prior to studying medicine.

She also has a particular interest in medical education having completed a postgraduate certificate in medical education at the Royal College of Physicians. She enjoys regularly teaching medical students, junior doctors, GPs and other health professionals.
