About Philip Goodall

Personal Profile

Mr Phil Goodall qualified from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2010 before completing higher surgical and specialist urological training within the East Midlands Deanery. During his training, he undertook a dedicated research fellowship at the Jon Van Geest Cancer Research Centre, where he completed an MPhil in cancer biomarker research.

Mr Goodall developed a specialist interest in urological oncology, with particular expertise in bladder cancer, upper tract urothelial cancer and renal cancer.

He is currently a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, specialising in renal, upper tract and pelvic urological oncology. His practice includes the management of both superficial and advanced bladder cancer, upper tract urothelial cancer and renal malignancy. He has extensive experience in complex pelvic and upper urinary tract surgery, offering open, robotic and laparoscopic/minimally invasive approaches.

In addition to his oncological practice, Mr Goodall provides comprehensive general urological care, including surgery for scrotal lumps and bumps, benign prostatic enlargement such as transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), Aquablation therapy and prostate cancer diagnostics.

Mr Goodall is the current Urological Oncology MDT Lead at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care.

Outside of his clinical practice, he enjoys running, squash and golf.
