Mr David has a longstanding interest in medical education and training and runs an internationally recognised Retinal surgical fellowship training programme at East Lancs. He receives referrals for the management of simple and complex cataracts and surgical management of complications following cataract surgery and has extensive experience in dealing with difficult and complicated cataracts. He also implants special intraocular lenses such as toric, Extended depth of focus (EDOF), multifocal (trifocal) lenses and telescopic lenses.
Mr David has a special interest in the management of retinal diseases. He provides not only medical and laser treatment for retinal disease but also complex vitreoretinal surgical treatment. He provides surgical treatments for retinal diseases such as macular holes, epiretinal membranes, retinal detachment and retinal tears. Mr David has considerable experience in dealing with medical diseases of the retina including age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vascular occlusion.
