Mr Wall has experience and specialist training in managing patients with hip and groin pain. This includes patients with subtle hip shape abnormalities (including dysplasia and hip/femoroacetabular impingement) local soft tissue disorders (labral tears and tendinopathy) or established arthritis.
His practice includes managing young patients with sporting and athletic injuries around the hip joint. He works closely with a multidisciplinary team including radiologists, physiotherapists and sports and exercise doctors and surgical colleagues to help ensure patients get the best possible care and can return to sport and fitness as soon as feasible.
Mr Wall routinely performs hip preservation surgery including: hip arthroscopy (keyhole), pelvic acetabular osteotomy (PAO) and femoral osteotomy. In situations where patients have established arthritis and the joint surfaces are worn out he performs hip resurfacing (Birmingham Hip Resurfacing) or total hip replacement surgery.
