About Paul Pracy

Personal Profile

Having qualified from St Bartholomew’s Hospital London, I completed my basic surgical training in a number of different hospitals in and around London. I was then appointed as an ENT Registrar at Guy’s and Lewisham Hospitals. During this rotation I developed an interest in Head and Neck Surgery. I was then appointed as a Senior Registrar at Guy’s and Lewisham Hospitals, with a rotation through Great Ormond Street Hospital. I took a year out of this rotation to work at the Royal Marsden Hospital as a Fellow in Head and Neck Surgery.

I am the Course Director of the European Head and Neck Course. I am on the faculty of several other Head and Neck or ENT courses and I have been an invited speaker at international meetings in the UK, Europe, South Africa, India and Bangladesh. I was on the Editorial Board of ENT UK Consensus Guidelines on the Management of Head and Neck Cancer and have contributed five chapters to multi-author textbooks.

My main areas of interest are in:

  • Laryngeal cancer (particularly conservation surgery)
  • Hypopharyngeal cancer
  • Salivary gland disease
  • Swallowing disorders and voice disorders
