Initially, rotating through hospitals in the Mersey Region, followed by the Northern Region and East of Scotland Region, gaining a breadth of experience on a basic surgical level.
Throughout his professional journey, Mr Moussa has navigated through various eminent medical institutions across the UK, including teaching centres in big cities such as Liverpool, Newcastle, and Scotland, before establishing himself in North-West London. Mr Moussa excelled in his higher surgical training at renowned teaching hospitals such as Imperial College London, Chelsea & Westminster, the Royal Marsden, and University College London, which has enriched him with a breadth of clinical insight and a deep understanding of complex surgical exposure. This experience nurtured a vast exposure in open, laparoscopic and robotic Upper GI surgery ranging from benign, bariatric to oncological.
Mr Moussa's dedication to advancing his skills and knowledge is evident in his pursuit a Postgraduate Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery and completed his research Medical Doctorate at Imperial College London in 2017, demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence. Finally, to complete his excellence he accomplished a Royal College of Surgeons-approved fellowship in laparoscopic, anti-reflux, and bariatric surgery.
Beyond his clinical endeavours, Mr Moussa is deeply invested in pioneering research, particularly in metabolic health in obesity. His scholarly pursuits have culminated in the publication of his work in high-impact journals, contributing significantly to the advancement of medical knowledge in his field.
