Mr. Abed is a highly experienced and respected Consultant Urological Surgeon with over 20 years of clinical practice. He specializes in both medical and surgical treatment for a wide range of urological conditions, with a focus on early cancer diagnosis and minimally invasive techniques ensuring quicker recovery times and optimal outcomes for his patients. He also offer paediatric urology services at his local hospital trust.
Mr. Abed graduated in 2003 and completed his residency training and subsequent fellowships mainly in prostate cancer. He has worked at prestigious hospitals across the north west of England and is widely recognized for his expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex urological issues.
His approach is rooted in a patient-centered philosophy, where he takes the time to understand the individual needs and concerns of each patient. He is committed to providing the highest standards of care, utilizing the latest medical technologies and cutting-edge treatments. He believes in empowering his patients with knowledge and works closely with them to determine the best treatment plan tailored to their unique conditions.
He is also a regular contributor to medical research, with numerous publications in leading urological journals. He is a tutor for postgraduate studies at the University of Edinburgh and a faculty for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He was awarded a certificate of excellence as the best trainer from the North West School of Surgery in 2021 and the tutor of the year from the University of Edinburgh in 2019.
He is currently the Cancer and Educational lead at his NHS trust.
