About Dr Olivia Codrington

Personal Profile

Olivia is a compassionate and highly skilled medical professional with extensive experience in both clinical practice and healthcare management. She graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Biology from Imperial College London in 2003, before completing her medical degree at the same institution, where she qualified as a doctor in 2009. Throughout her career, Olivia has gained a wealth of experience in a variety of medical specialties, including Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics, and Medicine for Older People. Her diverse background has given her a comprehensive understanding of patient care, equipping her with the skills necessary to address a broad range of medical needs.

In 2016, Olivia achieved her MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) qualification and became a GP within the NHS. In this capacity, she also served as the named doctor for multiple nursing homes in the Borough of Ealing, where she provided ongoing, high-quality care to elderly patients. This role, which included conducting regular ward rounds and offering out-of-hours care, gave Olivia the opportunity to develop strong, trusting relationships with patients and their families. She particularly cherished the continuity of care she could offer in these settings and has sought to continue this model in her career, ensuring that patients receive holistic and personalised attention.

Following her work within the NHS, Olivia expanded into private general practice, where she worked as a Clinical Lead for a national private provider managing a large cohort of fellow GPs in addition to delivering safe, high quality patient care. She enjoys a varied professional life and has been offering Ear Microsuction services to both adults and children for many years. She has also established a successful Medical Aesthetics practice and enjoys the diversity in her working week.

In May 2025, Olivia joined Harrow Healthcare Centre (HHCC) where she combines her vast medical knowledge with a patient-centred approach to healthcare, working to support and empower individuals in their journey toward optimal health. She is comfortable managing both acute and chronic medical issues, in both adults and children as well as being one of the doctors who carries out full Medicals for work, visa or travel reasons. She also conducts Ear Microsuction procedures at HHCC in a dedicated space designed for these services, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a comfortable, professional setting.

Olivia finds great satisfaction in the freedom of private practice, where she can build stronger, longer-term relationships with her patients - a model of care reminiscent of traditional general practice. She values the ability to spend quality time with patients, ensuring that they feel heard and understood in a way that is often more challenging within the constraints of a busy NHS practice.
Olivia is committed to continuous professional development, regularly updating her skills and knowledge to ensure that she remains at the forefront of medical practice. Her passion for improving patient outcomes and making a positive difference in people’s lives continues to drive her forward, both in her clinical practice and her leadership roles.
