About Nutan Patel

Personal Profile

Dr Patel qualified from Birmingham Medical School in 2010. She carried out her GP training in London and qualified as a GP in 2016, after which she relocated back to Manchester, where she grew up.
She has been working in the Stockport area since 2017 and is currently a GP Partner in a local practice. During her training she has very much enjoyed women’s health, diabetes, dermatology, and palliative care to name a few, but thoroughly enjoys general practice for the breadth of areas covered.
She is currently her practice lead for Diabetes and has a certificate in the management of menopause, which is an accredited qualification from the British Menopause Society. Her previous experience in dermatology and rheumatology has led to her frequently carrying out steroid injections for the shoulder and knee in-house too. Outside of her GP job, she works in a children’s hospice part-time, which has grown her passion in palliative care also.
She has a passion for teaching and currently trains the GP trainees at her practice and is planning on completing her Certificate of Medical Education qualification this year.
She is also very interested in lifestyle medicine and is growing this area of interest in order to continue to provide the most UpToDate information on preventative health.
