Personal Profile

Nick qualified as a Physiotherapist from Coventry University in 1999. After working for 5 years in the NHS Nick joined the army in 2004 as a Physiotherapy officer in the Royal Army Medical Core. During the next 16 years he was posted to Cyprus, Germany and Gibraltar whilst deploying to Iraq, Afghanistan, Canada, Norway and Estonia. Nick also passed a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Since leaving the Army in 2021, Nick has been working part-time as a Physio at the Park hospital in Orthopaedic Outpatients and at Whatton Prison. Nick is married with 2 teenage daughters and a dog. His first degree was in Fine Art (1991) and since leaving the Army he has enjoyed doing more painting and drawing. Nick also enjoys maintaining his health and fitness in various ways. He has been training in Martial Arts for 30 years achieving his Black belt in 1993. In addition to running, cycling, swimming and strength training Nick has done several marathons and triathlons including an Ironman in 2008. Finally, Nick utilised the Covid-19 lockdown period to learn the piano and so far managed to pass grade 2.
