Mr Osei graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University and received his basic surgical training in Cambridge. His Clinical Medicine was undertaken at The Royal Free Hospital and he was awarded his Bachelor of Medicine from University College London and Higher Surgical Training on the Percivall Pott Rotation, North East Thames. He has had extensive training at centres of excellence in London, and East Anglia and enhanced training with surgical privileges visiting neurosurgeons and leading orthopaedic surgeons in the EU, Toronto and the US.
Mr Osei is Fellowship trained in London at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital and secured the prestigious International Visiting US Scholarship to Philadelphia attending both the Jefferson and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He rounded off his spine training with a year of advanced minimally invasive spine study at the Royal London Hospital; complex lumbar spine work at Broomfield hospital and training in endoscopic discectomy. Mr Osei publishes research papers extensively.
He is a keen trainer of higher surgical trainees, conference convenor and presenter of academic work at national and international conference. He has his Masters from Oxford University and broad research interests within spine including injections, fusionless instrumentation in spondylolisthesis, and a broad research background in general trauma. He has a year of Trauma Fellowship at the Royal London and additional management of military casualties whilst at Selly Oak during the Gulf War.
