About Dr Naila Dinani

Personal Profile

Dr Naila Dinani is a highly experienced Consultant Dermatologist, dedicated to providing expert, patient-centred care across the full spectrum of skin, hair and nail conditions. She works at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, where she runs specialist clinics in all aspects of general dermatology and skin cancer, and performs skin surgery. She is currently the Clinical Lead for Dermatology at the RUH, overseeing service delivery and innovation within the department. 

Dr Dinani graduated with distinction from Cardiff University Medical School in 2010, also holding a BSc with First Class Honours. She completed her early medical training in South Wales and London, before undertaking specialist dermatology training in Brighton. Throughout her career, she has been recognised for her excellence, receiving academic prizes for her dermatology achievements.

Her professional development is ongoing, and a priority. Dr Dinani attends regular national and international dermatology courses and conferences to ensure she remains at the forefront of new research, treatments, and the best practice. This commitment enables her to offer patients the highest standard of evidence based care, tailored to their individual needs. 

Dr Dinani's clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and the management of acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, hair loss, urticaria (hives), vulval dermatology, and benign and malignant skin lesions, including mole checks and skin cancer treatment. She also has extensive experience in performing skin surgery.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Dinani has a passion for medical education. She is the undergraduate Dermatology Lead for medical students in Bath, and was the Speciality Tutor for trainee dermatologists at the RUH for over three years. She has presented at national meetings and published her work in peer-reviewed medical journals.

Known for her approachable manner and attention to detail, Dr Dinani works closely with her patients to ensure they are fully informed, comfortable, and confident in their treatment plan. 

 

Clinical Interests:

All areas of medical dermatology including acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, hair loss, urticaria (hives), vulval dermatology, benign and malignant skin lesions, including mole checks and skin cancer treatment.

Performing skin surgery. 

Please note: for any patient that has a Lipoma greater than 2cm, this will require surgical input rather than a Dermatologist. Please refer to an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for the neck and head, or a General/Plastic Surgeon for all other body areas.
