About Dr Nadim Hakim

Personal Profile

Dr Nadim Hakim is a Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS and in the private sector in London. He qualified from Peninsula Medical School at Exeter and Plymouth Universities. He completed core psychiatric training at the prestigious Maudsley Group of hospitals.

His higher training was at St Bartholomew and Royal London Hospitals. He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and has the GMC Certificate of Specialist Psychiatric training.

Dr Hakim’s special interest is in General Adult Psychiatry with an emphasis on early intervention and rehabilitation. He is passionate about a holistic approach to mental disorders and aims to restore the psyche with minimal distress so the patient can resume normal life as soon as possible.

Dr Hakim is actively involved in teaching medical students and trainee Psychiatrists. He is very keen on audit and quality improvement and keeps up to date with all the latest developments in Psychiatry so that his practice is evidence based and follows all current regulatory guidelines.

Dr Hakim can manage the full range of adult disorders including Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Schizophrenia, Stress, Phobia, Self-Harm and adult Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.
