Dr Musaab Elmamoun, M.B.B.S, MRCP, FRCPI, CSCST, is a Consultant Rheumatologist and Osteoporosis Service Lead at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of rheumatological conditions, with particular expertise in osteoporosis, inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, and psoriatic arthritis.
Dr Elmamoun completed his specialist Rheumatology training through the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland before undertaking a prestigious clinical fellowship at the University of Toronto, supported by the renowned Krembil Foundation. During this fellowship, he developed a specialist interest in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and psoriatic arthritis, gaining valuable experience in managing complex inflammatory conditions.
As Osteoporosis Service Lead, Dr Elmamoun has extensive experience in improving patient pathways, developing clinical services, and delivering high-quality outpatient care. He is committed to providing personalised treatment plans that support patients in managing their condition and improving their long-term health and quality of life.
Dr Elmamoun is actively involved in rheumatology research and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications, including two book chapters on psoriatic arthritis. He has presented his research and clinical work at international conferences across Europe, North America, and Canada. Alongside his clinical work, he is passionate about education and plays an active role in teaching, training, clinical audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
