Mr Musa Barkeji is a highly experienced Consultant General and Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, known for his meticulous approach and dedication to delivering personalised, high-quality care. He practices privately at The Clementine Churchill Hospital and holds a substantive NHS consultant post at Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Barkeji undertook his specialist surgical training at the renowned Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. His clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of general surgery, with particular expertise in laparoscopic (‘keyhole’) procedures, including gallbladder surgery and abdominal wall hernia repair.
In addition to general surgery, Mr Barkeji has a strong focus on breast surgery, treating both benign and malignant breast conditions. He has a special interest in the oncoplastic management of breast cancer – a modern approach that integrates plastic surgery techniques to preserve or reconstruct the breast following cancer excision, aiming for the best outcomes.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Barkeji is passionate about education and training. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London and actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate surgical education.
