He completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2007 and became the first Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) accredited subspecialist in Urogynaecology in Scotland.
Since 2008, Professor Abdel-Fattah has worked as a Consultant in both the NHS and private practice. He has led the tertiary urogynaecology service in Grampian and the North East of Scotland for over 12 years. He accepts referrals from GPs and consultant colleagues for the full range of female pelvic floor conditions.
Professor Abdel-Fattah also chairs the Grampian multidisciplinary team (MDT) for pelvic floor disorders, helping ensure patients receive expert, collaborative care.
