Dr. Moe Kyaw is a highly experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist with a specialist focus on advanced endoscopy. Trained in both the UK and internationally, Dr. Kyaw has honed his expertise at renowned endoscopy centers, including the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong and Severance Hospital in Seoul, South Korea.

After graduating from St. Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Medical College in 2000, Dr. Kyaw completed his Gastroenterology training in the UK, alongside earning a Master of Science degree. His dedication to mastering endoscopic techniques led him to a two-year fellowship at the Prince of Wales Hospital, where he gained extensive experience in advanced endoscopic procedures. Dr. Kyaw’s commitment to clinical research saw him appointed as a Research Assistant Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. During this time, he conducted pivotal clinical trials on the optimal management of gastrointestinal bleeding, contributing to landmark publications that have influenced treatment protocols globally. His work has been featured in prestigious medical journals, including The Lancet.

His research interests also encompass the early detection and prevention of gastrointestinal cancers. Dr. Kyaw has presented his findings at international conferences and received awards for his research contributions. Additionally, he pursued specialized training in Seoul, South Korea, focusing on techniques for detecting and endoscopically removing early-stage stomach and colon cancers, offering minimally invasive alternatives to surgery.

Currently, Dr. Kyaw serves as the Endoscopy Training Lead at West Middlesex University Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust. He is also an instructor for national endoscopy training courses, sharing his expertise with the next generation of medical professionals. He is a nationally accredited endoscopist on the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. Becoming a National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme endoscopist is a prestigious role requiring advanced skills, extensive experience, and a commitment to excellence in endoscopy.

He plays an integral role in two multidisciplinary teams dedicated to the management of upper and lower gastrointestinal cancers, ensuring comprehensive care for his patients. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Kyaw is an avid cyclist, incorporating daily rides into his routine. His commitment to physical well-being reflects his passion for delivering high-quality care to his patients.
