About Max Whittaker

Personal Profile

Mr Max Whittaker is a Consultant ENT Surgeon treating general Ear, Nose & Throat conditions, with a specialist interest in complex Otology and balance disorders in both adults and children.

He graduated from University College London in 2003 and is a UK Otolaryngology CCT holder. He completed specialist training in London and the South East of England, and a subsequent Fellowship in Otology & Skull Base Surgery at Guy’s & St Thomas Hospitals. He attended Observerships at the world-renowned House Institute in California, and Toronto General Hospital focusing on Endoscopic Ear Surgery, and now routinely provides minimally invasive ear surgery.

In 2018 Mr Whittaker was appointed as Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Homerton Hospital, where he is currently Clinical lead. His practice consists of general ENT in both adults and children, with subspecialty focus in Otology.

Mr Whittaker is a founding member of London Surgeons. This group of Consultant surgeons is working with the aim of providing high quality care covering all aspects of Ear, Nose & Throat surgery. The team brings together leaders in the ENT field and offers a down to earth, patient centred approach using evidence-based practice and latest advances in the field.

Mr Whittaker has pioneered the North East London Teleotology programme. This revolutionary approach enables remote consultations conveniently timed around work and life commitments, and has proved extremely effective in reducing time to diagnosis and treatment.
