Having graduated from Medical School in 2002 with First Class & Distinction degree, Dr Akbari went on to complete her GP training at Kingston GP training scheme. She achieved her membership of Royal College of General Practitioners in April 2013.
Dr Akbari's clinical experiences are very varied. They include a year’s work experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery at The Royal Brompton, Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Royal Free Hospital, Geriatric Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatric, Accident and Emergency at Ealing Hospital, ENT at West Middlesex Hospital. All these, along with a BSc degree in diagnostic radiology have equipped her with skills and knowledge to deal with acute and chronic illnesses to the highest standards of care.
Since 2013, she has been working as a full time NHS GP in London, as well as providing private GP services at Syon Clinic since 2020 .
She has held a variety of roles within both Scheduled in hour setting, Community Practices and Unscheduled OOH services, UCC and NHS 111.
Dr Akbari was one of the first GP's who helped the NHS 111 in the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, with setting up and running the designated services, she was also involved in the follow-up of the first cohort of Covid-19 patients who were discharged into the community.
She is very experienced in telephone and video consultations which has enabled her to provide high quality service and safe care for her patients.
Dr Akbari's personal belief is that Medicine is not just a science, General Practice is an art, dealing with the delicate nature of human emotions whist following the protocols and clinical guidelines.

She enjoys all aspects of General Practice, with particular interests in Mental Health, Women's Health, Diabetes, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Helping you to achieve happiness through best health and maintaining a balance between physical and mental as well as social aspects.
