About Martin Bevan

Personal Profile

Dr Bevan qualified in Cardiff and undertook general medical training in South Wales. He trained in Rheumatology in Wales receiving a CCT in Rheumatology in 1999. He started as a consultant in 2000 and has worked as a rheumatologist in the Bridgend and Neath Port Talbot areas and more latterly in Swansea.

He diagnoses and treats all rheumatological conditions and has a specialist interest in diagnosing gout using polarised light microscopy and also is trained in videocapillaroscopy for diagnosis of connective tissue disorders. He was lead for rheumatology for many years in his Healthboard and is currently a Group Medical Director in Swansea Bay UHB.
