Mark Davenport qualified as a doctor in 1981 and trained in general surgery before specialising in paediatric surgery from 1986. He has been a consultant at King's College Hospital, since 1994 with a special interest in neonatal surgery and hepatobiliary surgery in children.
Mark is a Professor of Paediatric Surgery at King's College, London and the UK editor for the Journal of Paediatric Surgery – the leading specialist journal in the field. He has written three books on paediatric surgery and over 200 specialist papers on a variety of topics. Currently, he is the elected President of the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons.
