About Mansoor Raza

Personal Profile

Dr Raza was appointed as a consultant in microbiology and infectious diseases at Milton Keynes Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in September 2008. His role involves undertaking both clinical and laboratory work, and he is an expert in microbiology, infectious diseases and tropical diseases, and is developing these specialities in Milton Keynes. The new services and expertise means that fewer Milton Keynes patients with complex infections or tropical diseases have to travel elsewhere for treatment. He holds his private practice at The Saxon Clinic, where he also works with the Travel Health Clinic team to provide a specialist service.

Dr Mansoor Raza qualified in Calcutta in 1993 and subsequently got his MD in tropical medicine before starting his training in the United Kingdom, which he completed with higher specialist training in both infectious diseases and microbiology in Bristol. His dual training affords a unique perspective on the various aspects of infection.

He has a special interest in teaching and is also an examining board member for the Royal College of Physicians of London.
