Personal Profile

After completing her primary medical degree, Mrs Manjula Raajkumar completed her Specialty training in London Deanery and was awarded Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2013. During the last 2 years of training, she underwent advanced skills training in Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy, Benign Abdominal Surgery: Open and Laparoscopic as well as Benign Gynaecologic surgery: Hysteroscopy at Newham University Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust and Queens Hospital, BHR Trust. Mrs Raajkumar continued her advanced training in minimal access surgery and completed her advanced training in ultrasound scanning by obtaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) with Merit from King’s College London. She was appointed as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Newham University Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust in 2013. Currently she is the Lead for Early pregnancy services, Outpatient Hysteroscopy services as well as the Ambulatory Gynaecology Unit at the hospital and now has established a private practice at The London Independent Hospital.

Mrs Raajkumar has more than 20 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Having had work experience in both developing and developed countries and undergone advanced training in some of the busiest hospitals, Mrs Raajkumar has earned excellent experience in managing complex cases with minimal intervention and best outcomes. She has extensive experience in all benign Gynaecology conditions including menstrual disorders, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, fibroid and ovarian cysts. 

She is also an educational and clinical supervisor for specialty trainees of London school. She is an accredited educational supervisor for advanced training in Emergency Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy as well as Hysteroscopy.
