About Mrs Magda Thompson

Personal Profile

Magda Thompson is a highly experienced Senior Physiotherapist who qualified in 1988 at Teesside University. Since beginning her career, she has worked across a broad spectrum of physiotherapy disciplines, gaining valuable experience in both private healthcare and NHS services. Her professional journey also includes two years working in occupational health for Glaxo Smith-Kline, where she applied her clinical expertise in a corporate setting.

Magda provides treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, drawing on her extensive clinical knowledge to support patients in achieving optimal recovery. She has a particular interest in post-operative rehabilitation and specialises in supporting individuals following total hip replacement, total knee replacement, ankle surgery and shoulder surgery. Her approach to care emphasises the importance of self-management, empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery from chronic conditions.

Outside of her clinical work, Magda leads an active lifestyle and enjoys spending time outdoors. She is a keen walker and regularly explores the Yorkshire Dales with her dog. In addition to her love of walking, she attends a local gym, runs and bakes on a regular basis, maintaining a balanced and fulfilling routine beyond her professional commitments.
