About Dr Lucy McGeoch

Personal Profile

Dr McGeoch has been a Consultant Rheumatologist for 10 years, caring for patients with a wide range of rheumatological conditions.

She graduated from medical school at the University of Glasgow in 2002. She subsequently trained in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine throughout the West of Scotland and during this time she undertook a 12 month Clinical Fellowship in Toronto, Canada, working within a specialist vasculitis unit, managing patients from across Canada with a range of vasculitis conditions.  

She took up a full time post as Consultant Rheumatologist at Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 2014.

Dr McGeoch manages a wide range of rheumatological conditions including, but not limited to, inflammatory arthritis, SLE and other connective tissue diseases and vasculitis conditions including polymyalgia rheumatic and giant cell arteritis. In addition to her clinical work she has research interests in the fields of connective tissue disease and vasculitis and authored the 2015 Canadian Vasculitis clinical guidelines.

She is actively involved with doctors in training and regularly teaches and acts as examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
