Personal Profile

Lucy is a Senior Physiotherapist at Woodlands Hospital in Darlington.

Originally from South Africa, Lucy studied at the University of Cape Town and qualified in 1984. She spent two years doing her junior rotations at Groote Schuur Hospital before coming to the UK to locum in the NHS and travel. She then returned to South Africa and worked in private practice treating inpatients and MSK outpatients. As well as this, Lucy also became the South African Cycling Team physiotherapist.

In 2000, Lucy moved to the UK with her family and moved into the field of Occupational Health. She later developed a real interest in pelvic health. She has completed numerous courses in women and men's pelvic health.

She has become passionate in helping people with pelvic issues and helping prevent issues post-natally by offering the 'Mummy MOT' assessment.
