About Dr Ljubomir Novakovic

Personal Profile

Dr Novakovic trained at Medical School in Belgrade, Serbia where he completed his specialist training in dermatology in 1996. In 1998 he moved to London where he continued with his research and sub-specialist training in phototherapy and clinical photobiology at the world renowned St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, St. Thomas’ Hospital. He is a consultant dermatologist since 2001.

Since 2003 he practices as a consultant at Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he sees all the aspects of general and paediatric dermatology. He is also the lead for phototherapy and offers expertise on sun allergies and other sun-related skin diseases.

He is an honorary consultant dermatologist at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital, where he also leads on the clinical side for UVA1 phototherapy.

Dr Novakovic is an international expert and invited speaker on sun-related skin conditions and phototherapy. He is currently involved in updating the BAD vitiligo guidelines.
