Before taking up a consultant post, Miss Lalrinawmi also completed 2 years of additional training in advanced laparoscopic surgery under the prestigious British Society for Gynaecology Endoscopy and University of Surrey. During this time, she developed further advanced skills in all major laparoscopic (key-hole) procedures for the management of both benign and malignant conditions of the female reproductive system.
She is the Clinical Lead for Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Great Western Hospital and is part of the management team responsible for the department. She is also a line manager for all the medical doctors in the department. In addition, she is also the lead for Early pregnancy and Emergency Gynaecology in the hospital and is well versed in managing all routine and urgent gynaecological problems, whether benign or malignant.
She is a keen listener and encourages patients to contribute in making decisions regarding their care and treatment. Her patients motivate her to provide the best individualised care possible.
