About Mr Khine Myo

Personal Profile

Mr Myo currently works as a Senior Consultant Surgeon in a substantive capacity at Crosshouse Hospital, NHS Ayrshire and Arran since 2015. He graduated in Rangoon in Myanmar in 1994. He served as a sole responsible doctor in a remote area in Myanmar before undertaking his training to become a general surgeon at the University Malaya Medical Centre in Malaysia in 2007. In 2009 he went on to undertake further training in general and colorectal surgery in the UK, receiving a diploma in FRCS General Surgery in 2012, attaining specialist registration with the GMC through CESR in 2015.

Currently, Mr Myo does surgical on call at his base hospital. His elective surgical practice includes both general, colorectal and laparoscopic procedures. He also performs colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy and minor paediatric surgical procedures as part of his elective commitments. Mr Myo is also an educational supervisor and trainer for surgical trainees and medical students. He is Lead Clinician for undergraduate training in general surgery for the University Crosshouse hospital, NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
