About Mr Kapil Kumar

Personal Profile

Mr. Kapil Kumar began his medical journey at the University of Delhi, where he completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate training. In 1995, he moved to the UK to further his career in medicine.

He completed his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the North of Scotland, and then pursued advanced fellowships in shoulder and elbow surgery at two world-renowned centres: the Reading Shoulder Unit and Wrightington Hospital.

Since 2007, Mr Kumar has been working as a consultant in Aberdeen, with a focus on shoulder and elbow surgery. He also performs hand surgery. Over the years, he has contributed to several national and international medical journals and has presented his work at conferences around the world.

In additionato his clinical work, Mr Kumar is passionate about teaching and mentoring. He has served as a Training Programme Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics, and currently, he is an examiner for the FRCS(Orth) exam and a member of the Specialist Advisory Council for the field.
