About Mr Kalimuthu Marimuthu

Personal Profile

Mr Marimuthu studied for his basic medical and general surgical training in India. He came to the UK in 1996, where he trained in General and Colorectal Surgery in the West Midlands.

Mr Marimuthu has been a Consultant Surgeon for the last 13 years. He is the lead colorectal cancer surgeon in the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. He regularly teaches junior doctors and registrar from the West Midlands Deanary.

He has a special clinical interest in Colorectal Surgery and performs all forms of general, colorectal and laparoscopic surgery. His main interest is common peri-anal procedures including haemorrhoids, fistula and fissure surgery. He performs diagnostic endoscopy, such as colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and gastroscopy, on a regular basis.
