About Kailash Nakade

Personal Profile

Mr Kailash Nakade is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Milton Keynes Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where he is also Lead Clinician for Gynaecological Cancer and Colposcopy. He has more than 20 years’ experience in gynaecology and undertakes a wide range of gynaecological surgical procedures. He has a clinical special interest in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.

Mr Nakade undertook general obstetrical and gynaecological training in Mumbai (India), London and Oxford. He had opportunity to work in major teaching hospitals such as St. Bart’s Hospital, St. George’s Hospital in London and John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He completed specialist training in Minimal Access Gynaecological Surgery at Bradford before moving to further training in Gynaecological Oncology and Colposcopy at Oxford Gynaecological Cancer Centre. Before his appointment at Milton Keynes Hospital, he was Consultant Gynaecologist at University Hospitals of Leicester.

Mr Nakade is an expert in minimal access gynaecological (key hole) surgery which leads to less post-operative pain, faster recovery and smaller scars. He routinely performs major and minor gynaecological operations. His expertise includes laparoscopic hysterectomies and laparoscopic treatment for endometriosis.

Gynaecological conditions treated include; Gynaecological cancer; Abnormal smear and colposcopy; Heavy periods and abnormal vaginal bleeding; Endometriosis; Ovarian cysts; Prolapse; Pelvic pain; Menopause and Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Mr Nakade also involved in research and has presented scientific papers at regional, national and international meetings. He has contributed many articles in scientific journals and chapters into various books. He is actively involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors. He has been involved in teaching basic practical skills in RCOG approved courses. He offers a comprehensive gynaecology service with treatment options based on best available evidence.
