Miss Dockray is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist at Woodlands Hospital in Darlington. She sees self-pay patients (men-only).
She studied Medicine at The University of Cambridge, graduating with a distinction. During surgical training around the UK, she also completed a masters in Urology, graduating with a commendation.
Following completion of training, she was appointed to the prestigious Men’s Health fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, University of Toronto - one of the highest volume male infertility and vasectomy reversal centres in North America. Training by the pioneers of the “mini-incision vasectomy reversal” technique has allowed Miss Dockray to be one of the only surgeons in the UK who offers this technique. Her fellowship also provided unique expertise in surgical management of chronic scrotal pain, a topic on which she has published and remains a UK expert.
Returning to the UK, Miss Dockray was appointed as a Consultant Urologist in Sunderland. Here, she was sub-speciality lead for andrology (men’s health), reintroducing penile implant surgery for treatment of erectile dysfunction. She was also one of a small team providing care for patients with penile cancer for the North of England. Miss Dockray set up the first dedicated referral centre providing surgical management options for chronic scrotal pain, which treated patients from all over England.
Miss Dockray holds an elected position in the Andrology Committee of the British Association of Urological Surgeons and teaches on Andrology for trainee surgeons. She has published on men’s health conditions and has presented nationally and internationally on subjects related to men’s health, male fertility and chronic scrotal pain.
She is now focusing on providing high-quality care for her patients in the independent sector.
