Mr Jonathan Walczak was born in London and trained at Guys Hospital Medical School from 1981 through to 1987. His post-graduate training included a specialist fellowship in Hip surgery, which took place in 1998.
He became, and remains, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA). Not only this, he held the post of Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic surgeon at Bromley NHS Trust bromleyhealthcare.org.uk [bromleyhealthcare.org] since 1999 and Kings College NHS trust (kch.nhs.uk) until 2019
Private practices are located at the Chelsfield Park Hospital, Shirley Oaks Hospital and The Sloane Hospital.
Mr Walczak is more very happy to see both self-funded and insured patients.
He is recognised by all health insurance companies and has a particular interest in hip and knee replacement, (performing several hundred of these per year), sports medicine including injuries to hips, keyhole knee surgery, knee ligament reconstruction (including Anterior Cruciate ligaments)
Owing to his personal interests as a keen runner and cyclist, Mr Walczak is conscious of the needs of an athlete and he remains committed to allowing people of all abilities to return to sports and physical activity if at all possible.
By all accounts, his patient-focused approach to medical care remains a constituent part of what makes his services so sought after. His philosophy revolves around his desire to do the utmost in making an accurate diagnosis and instigate treatment. He is aware that he may not be able to definitively deal with a given problem, but if he cannot organise appropriate care, he has a network of colleagues in other specialities who will be able to assist.
Mr Walczak: "I pride myself that I and my team are always able to provide a rapid and efficient response to any concern or complication. I feel most strongly that as a Surgeon my responsibility to the patients under my care extends to any problems experienced following discharge, and I feel that I and my team, rather than your General Practitioner, should be on hand to deal with any concerns."
