Personal profile
After completing his 5 year radiology training in Manchester, he undertook an additional year of further sub-speciality training in Musculoskeletal Radiology, as a Fellow at the University of Toronto, Canada.
He provides holistic diagnostic imaging for patients with spinal, orthopaedic and rheumatological conditions through his practice of Ultrasound, MRI, CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging. He has interests in MR arthrography, ultrasound of tendon and muscle disease, image-guided therapeutics and imaging of post-operative orthopaedic disorders.
He is formally licenced by ARSAC (Administration of Radioactive Substances Advisory Committee) to practice Nuclear Medicine. He supports Physicians and Surgeons across multiple specialities with functional diagnostic imaging, and has a particular interest in functional imaging in Rheumatology and Orthopaedics.
Professor Harris’s Honorary Chair is in the School of Health Sciences at Salford University, where he lectures and examines on Musculoskeletal Radiology, in addition to his teaching at regional and national meetings.
He has been a Mancunian from birth, was schooled at Bury Grammar School and subsequently at The University of Manchester. He is family-orientated, lives locally with his wife and 4 children (and golden labrador, Luna!), with whom he spends his leisure time.
