In addition to a busy clinical practice, he has active roles in medical education and research. He serves as Training Programme Director for Vascular Surgery in the North West of England, is a member of the Vascular Specialty Advisory Committee, examiner for the FRCS (Vasc) and heavily involved in advancing patient care through training of medical and allied professionals at all levels.
Mr Ghosh has been the Lead for North West Core Surgical Education, Director for the regional RCS Basic Surgical Skills course and Faculty for numerous training courses. His doctorate research thesis focused on novel strategies to prevent vascular graft failure and his Master of Arts dissertation concerned concepts of autonomy in healthcare law and bioethics.
He has been awarded a post-graduate diploma in Medical Education and has produced over 40 journal publications, book chapters and has presented research nationally and internationally.
