Personal Profile

Mr Gill is a Consultant Urologist at The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate.

He understands the needs of the local and wider Harrogate population, offering a bespoke, rapid access diagnostic and therapeutic service for men and women with urological conditions.

Mr Gill grew up in Harrogate and York before studying Medicine at the University of Liverpool, graduating in 2001. After a year working at Townsville Hospital, Queensland, Australia, he returned to Yorkshire to undertake basic surgical and higher urology training.

In addition to treating a wide range of general urological conditions, he has developed a sub-specialty interest in minimally invasive (endoscopic) surgery for urinary tract stones and benign prostatic enlargement.

Away from work, Mr Gill enjoys running, cycling, and golf. Most of all he enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children, and can often be found walking in the Lake District.

Mr Gill investigates and treats a wide variety of urological conditions including:

  • Blood in the urine (haematuria)
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Enlarged prostate (BPH)
  • Urinary tract stones
  • Urological cancers (bladder, prostate, kidney, testis)
