About Jon Sussman

Personal Profile

Jon Sussman attended medical school in Leeds and completed general internal medicine in South Wales, based at The University Hospital of Wales. It was there that he was first worked in neurology and decided to make it his career.

Dr Sussman commenced his neurology training in the regional unit in Sheffield, then undertaking a PhD in repair mechanisms in the adult brain at the Brain Repair Centre in Cambridge University. He then returned to Sheffield as the University Lecturer in Neurology where he completed his neurology training.

He took up his post in Greater Manchester around the time that all neurology services were amalgamated at the Greater Manchester Neuroscience Centre based at Salford Royal Hospital. Dr Sussman is a general neurologist with a special interest in immune disorders.
