About Mr John Mitchell
Personal Profile
Mr J. Mitchell is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Harrogate District Hospital, specialising in hip and knee replacement surgery. He has extensive experience in orthopaedics and has played a key role in developing a specialist hip and knee replacement service.
Mr Mitchell qualified in medicine from the University of Bristol in 1991. He completed his basic surgical training in Manchester before undertaking higher surgical training in Yorkshire, where he further developed his expertise in trauma and orthopaedic surgery.
In 2003, Mr Mitchell was appointed Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Harrogate District Hospital. Since then, he has developed a specialist service focused on hip and knee replacement, providing surgical treatment for patients with degenerative joint conditions and those requiring advanced joint reconstruction.
Mr Mitchell currently serves as Clinical Lead for Orthopaedics, contributing to the development and delivery of orthopaedic services.
