Personal Profile

John Malik is an experienced podiatrist having been in practice for over 35 years seeing patients with all types of foot pain.  He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Podiatry.  He is currently working as a Private Consultant Podiatrist specialising in podiatry, nail / skin surgery and biomechanics.  John has over 35 years consultant level clinical experience in both the NHS and private sector.

John’s qualifications include a fellowship in podiatric surgery, a masters degree in science with distinction (podiatric surgery) and a first class bachelor of science honours degree (podiatry).  He is registered with the HCPC practicing as a podiatrist and independent prescriber, with additional annotation in podiatric surgery.

John is a formerly Head of Podiatry to the Birmingham School of Podiatry, Faculty Board Member of the Faculty of Surgery and Quality Assurance Committee (Royal College of Podiatry).  He has also acted as an External Examiner to MSc Theory of Podiatric Surgery Courses and Chaired the Podiatric Surgery Exam Board for the Royal College of Podiatry.  John also works for the regulatory body for podiatric the HCPC as a partner (education).

John has provided education and training at both undergraduate and post graduate level to health care professionals, especially in the areas of podiatry, and has lectured internationally on this subject presenting original published research.
