About Mr John Anderson
Personal Profile
Mr John Anderson graduated from University College London in 1998 and undertook his basic surgical training in Manchester and his higher surgical training in the West of Scotland. He was awarded his MD for research that investigated how immunotherapy could be used to target cancer.
On completing his training, he undertook a post CCT fellowship in advanced Colorectal Cancer, Pelvic Surgery, Peritoneal Tumours and Pseudomyxoma Peritonei at the Christie Hospital Manchester.
Mr John Anderson is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon based at University Hospital Monklands and Golden Jubilee University National Hospital. His main interests are open and laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant colorectal disease. Mr John Anderson also undertakes hernia surgery and bowel screening colonoscopy.
Throughout his career, Mr John Anderson has been involved with education and surgical training. He is a member of faculty for the Care of the Critically ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) provider and instructor courses.
