Prior to his appointment as a consultant Mr Humphrey undertook two prestigious fellowships. Initially the Foot and Ankle Reconstruction fellowship in Cambridge at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, broadening and refining his foot and ankle surgical skills. Then the Trauma fellowship in Oxford at the John Radcliffe Hospital, gaining expertise on the latest surgical techniques in managing complex foot and ankle trauma.
Mr Humphrey also has a Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine and lead the research on Real Tennis injuries for the Tennis & Rackets Association. As an active sportsman himself and having run several European marathons he understands how sports injuries can impact on your life. Mr Humphrey though takes pride in providing the same level of treatment to all individuals, irrespective of age or activity levels.
In addition to his clinical practice Mr Humphrey continues to be involved with research, and has published multiple peer review articles and written book chapters. His research has been presented at national and international conferences, and has been awarded several research grants including from the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS). Mr Humphrey trains junior surgeons in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, and is an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor.
Mr Humphrey has been an Orthopaedic Consultant on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council since 2017 and holds a consultant appointment at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust.
Mr Humphrey also consultants at Saxon Clinic in Milton Keynes where he sees patients from Bedford, Luton, Leighton Buzzard, Woburn & Milton Keynes. Referrals for private patients are not required and bookings for initial appointments can be made online.
